The invention relates to a packaging wrapper, particularly for paper handkerchiefs. This packaging wrapper is characterized in that only the material (6, 7) overlapping in the edge areas of the upper side (O) is bonded together by heat effect. In the remaining area, there is, on the inner side of the flap (5), a pressure-sensitive adhesive which sticks to the extension (2) of the front side (V), when the opening for removing the contents is closed. As a result of this, the flap, when closed, lies almost completely on the upper side of the packaging wrapper, and the bonding does not spoil the appearance of the upper side of the packaging wrapper.
