<p>An outdoor unit of a separate type air conditioner capable of preventing water from entering compressor-related electrical parts while facilitating the installation of piping and maintenance work from above. In the outdoor unit for a separate type air conditioner in which a compressor room whose upper part can be opened by removing a top plate (2), in a housing (1), is partitioned by a valve fitting plate (7) into a lower chamber (A) where a compressor (5) and compressor-related electrical parts in its vicinity are arranged and an upper chamber (B) in which connecting valves (4) for connecting a coolant piping from the upper part of an indoor unit to the compressor (5) are fitted to the valve fitting plate (7), a work opening (8) is provided in the valve fitting plate (7) to enable the compressor-related electrical parts (6) to be operated from above, and a circumferential wall (9) rising upright is provided at the edge of the work opening (8).</p> |
