PURPOSE:To obtain the subject incombustible composition, composed of 3,3- dichloro-1,1,1,2,2-pentafluoropropane and 1,3-dichloro-1,1,2,2,3-pentafluoropropane and having better characteristics than those of conventional fluorocarbons. CONSTITUTION:The subject composition, composed of 99.99-0.01wt.% 3,3- dichloro-1,1,1,2,2-pentafluoropropane and 0.01-99.99wt.% 1,3-dichloro-1,1,2,2,3- pentafluoropropane and useful as a combustion medium, foaming agent and solvent (e.g. detergent or remover). Since the aforementioned composition has excellent azeotropic characteristics, fluctuation of composition in recycling is extremely small and the same usage as that of a conventional single fluorocarbon can be provided to directly apply the composition without requiring a remarkable change in conventional techniques. Other components can be added and mixed with the aforementioned composition according to uses thereof. |
