The weapon has a lock housing in which a thrust base plate preferably made of steel is inserted and on which the barrel end or the cartridge base is supported. The thrust base plate (3) is exchangeably inserted in a suitable recess of the lock housing (1). A lock housing (1) has a number of thrust base plates (3) of staged thickness. The part of the lock housing surrounding the thrust base plates projects slightly in relation to the base plates. The projecting parts are rounded and bulged, and project by only a fraction of a millimetre. The thrust base plate is held in the lock housing by screws (11) engaging on the rear side. On its periphery, the thrust base plate has an angled outer surface (7), to which connects an edge area (8) at right-angles to the front surface of the thrust base plate.
