The plug connection, for a cable, has a pin or sleeve (3) inserted in a housing (1), to give a projecting pin (5). A connection is shaped according to the required plug connection configuration for the cable strands, and attached to them. The prepared cable strands with the connection(s) are joined to the pin (5), and plastic is injection moulded round them to form a second housing.
