The drawing frame described has two drawing heads (1, 2) mounted on a common frame (50) and having independent drive members. A control unit (32) controls the movement of the tubs for collecting the sliver to be processed and the processed sliver and regulates the speed and/or the operating times of the two heads in a manner such that, when there is a predetermined number of full tubs in the output station (5) of the first head (1) there is an equal number of empty tubs in the input station (4) of the second head (2). The drawing frame enables two perfectly controlled drawing passes to be carried out without the need for spare tubs between one pass and the other.
