The valve stroke setting method uses a setting adjustment (7) with a setting device (10), positioned at the free end of the valve rod (2), for cooperation with the valve closure element (12). The magnetic armature (1) at the opposite end of the valve rod fits within a valve sleeve (14), which is fitted over one end of the magnetic core (4) enclosing the valve rod.
