In order to arrange in a metallic housing (1) an electric subassembly with at least one flat subassembly comprising a printed circuit board (2) and electric components arranged thereon, and thus to connect the electric subassembly to the protection ground, a wire strap (3) rigidly connected to a grounding circuit (21) is provided on the printed circuit board. A cut-out (23) oriented transversely to the longitudinal direction of the wire strap (3) is associated therewith in the printed circuit board (2). At least one contact tongue (11) conductively connected to the housing extends through the cut-out (23) in the mounted state of the flat subassembly (3) and contacts the wire strap (3). The contact tongue (11) is preferably designed as a shaped part cut out of the housing material and consists of a pair of contact elements (11) the long sides of which are aligned with one another and the narrow sides of which are separated by a predetermined gap (a) adapted to the diameter of the wire strap (3), so that in the mounted state they grip the wire strap from both sides and are sharply pressed into its surface.
