<p>The pyrotechnic gas generator for inflating airbags comprises a monobloc cylindrical tube (1) having a side wall (2) of length (L) greater than its diameter (D). It has two pyrotechnic charges and two ignition systems (13,14). Two internal partitions (3,4) each carrying a nozzle (5,6), initially sealed, are crimped in the side wall so as to divide the tube into a front part (7), an intermediate part (8) with holes (9) and a rear part (10). The front and rear parts each contain a pyrotechnic charge. The tube is closed at each end by a ring (11,12) in which the ignition systems are inserted an ignition system. A safety valve (26) is supported against the partition (4) to isolate the rear part from the gas coming from the front part.</p> |
