PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image forming device where an inexpensive image reader detects a position error through a simple arithmetic processing and that reads an image with high accuracy. SOLUTION: In the case of forming an image by the image forming device that feeds an original on a contact glass plate, reads an image on the original to form the image, a pattern of slant lines LN for image processing is formed to a part where no image is formed (image processing print area 10b) at the circumference of a transfer paper sheet 10 with the image formed thereon. It is not required to prepare special paper on which the pattern is printed in advance or a printed matter or the like by printing out the pattern simultaneously at an output of the image forming device in this way.
