A cam.shaft is tubular and is rotatably mounted on a fixed axle 1, each cam 2, 3 consisting of a separate part formed by sintering and angularly fixed with respect to adjacent parts by interengaging slots 5 and tenons 6. A toothed driving wheel 4 is also mounted on axle 1 and angularly fixed with respect to cam 3 by slots 5 and tenons 6. The driving wheel 4 is formed by sintering and has an overcasting 7 of plastics material to form the contact surface of its teeth 8. |
