CONJUGATE POLYESTER MULTIFILAMENT, POLYESTER FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester fabric suitable for clothing having a combination of downy hair-toned surface soft feeling and puffy feeling and firm texture and good in snag resistance. SOLUTION: This polyester fabric comprises conjugate multifilament yarn composed of two kinds of polyester differing in solubility to alkali from each other; wherein, as the polyester component easier soluble to alkali is partly dissolved, interlaminar gaps for the laminar filaments constituting the conjugate multifilaments are developed and by partly debonding the surface of the filaments, fibrils are formed.
