PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the finishing workability and to obtain the good finish- working by facingly and simultaneously being in press-contact with one pair of grinding belts which are flexible so as to follow to the surface shape of a casting and continuously run, to execute the facing surface finish-working. SOLUTION: Both end parts of the casting W composed of cam shaft are held so as to be possible to hold/release with a holding part 1. The shifting control of the holding part 1 is executed so as to facingly and simultaneously be in press-contact with the casting W between the grinding surfaces of the faced one pair of grinding belts 3, 3 and shift the casting in the running direction of the belt surfaces 3, 3 with a shifting mechanism 2. The grinding belts 3, 3 are formed as endless belts and the grinding surfaces composed of an abrasive material of abrasive grain, etc., and the material and the thickness which are flexible so as to follow to the surface shape of the casting W as the belt base material, and constituted with plural divided grinding belts 3, 3 having the suitable width to the groove width of the cam shaft. By this method, the facing surfaces of the casting can be finish-worked in the good condition. |
