PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a treating agent excellent in heat resistance, smoothness and high pressure resistance during the production of a synthetic fiber by blending a transesterification product of a specific lower alcohol ester of a carboxylic acid with alcohols, a thiodipropionic acid alkyl ester, etc. SOLUTION: This treating agent for a synthetic fiber is obtained by blending 5-40wt.% compound expressed by formula I [R1 , R2 are each H or a 1-5C alkyl; R3 is a 1-30C alkyl; A is a 2-4C alkylene; (m) is 0-4 integer; (p) is 0 or 1-30 integer], 30-80wt.% thiopropionic acid alkylester (an 8-30C alkyl) or compound expressed by formula II [R4 is a residue of eliminating OH from a monohydroxy compound; R5 is H or a residue of eliminating OH from a monohydroxy compound; A is a 2-4C alkylene; (r) is 1-30; (n) is 0 or 1-30] and further 0.1-10wt.% phosphate compound such as a phosphate alkylamine salt of an alkylene oxide adduct with an alkylphenol. |
