PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new asperparaline having various bioactivities and useful as various agrochemicals including insecticides, medicines or a synthetic intermediate, etc., therefor by culturing an asperparaline-producing bacterium belonging to the genus Aspergillus. SOLUTION: This new compound asperparaline is represented by the formula and has various bioactivities and is useful as various agrochemicals including insecticides, medicines and a synthetic intermediate, etc., therefor. The new compound is obtained by inoculating an asperparaline-producing bacterium belonging to the genus Aspergillus [e.g. Aspergillus japonicus JV-23 (FERM- P-16102), etc.] to bean-curd refuse, culturing the bacterium for 7 days at 27 deg.C to afford a spawn, inoculating the spawn into bean-curd refuse put in a pad made of aluminum and having a lid, culturing the spawn for 10 days at 27 deg.C, extracting cultured product of bean-curd refuse and its bacterial cell with methanol, concentrating the extract, transferring, dissolving the concentrated extract in dichloromethane, concentrating the solution and subjecting the concentrated extract to silica gel column chromatography to purify the extract. |
