<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of the situation when a read character picture cannot be recognized. SOLUTION: The character picture containing a character is taken by permitting the user to depress a picture take-in key 3. The character picture displayed on a display part 2 is segmented. A method used from a former case is used for the processing of character segmenting. The picture elements of the same color for one lateral row are taken out and the total is obtained. The picture elements of a vertical column where the total is large is summed up. The large part is set to be an area where the character exists. When the segmented character picture has a size that can be recognized, the character picture is stored. When the segmented character picture has the small size that cannot be recognized, 'It cannot be recognized' is warning-displayed at the lower left of the display part 2.</p> |
