PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To code an analog sound signal by the MIDI(musical instrument digital interface) data. SOLUTION: The analog sound signal is made the digital sound data by PCM(pulse code modulation), and unit sections U1-U6 are defined on parts that a signal intensity is a prescribed level or above. The peak positions of the sound data in respective unit sections are obtained, and representative frequencies F1-F6 and representative intensities A1-A6 are obtained at every in-dividual unit section based on the distributions and the peak values of these peak positions. The MIDI data having note numbers answering to the re- preventative frequencies F1-F6, having velocities answering to the representative intensities A1-A6 and having a delta time answering to a unit section length are defined at every unit section. By using a prescribed MIDI sound source, and by decoding the MIDI data, an original sound signal is reproduced. This device is suited to recording/reproducing of a physiological rhythm sound such as a heart sound and a lung sound, etc., and a diagnosis becomes easy by visually displaying a MIDI note. |
