PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition giving an uneven writing which has high specular gloss and is brilliant as observed with the naked eye and through which patterns, stains, other writings, etc., on paper are not visible by using as the constituents a pearlescent pigment and a metallic powder pigment at a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This composition contains a pearlescent pigment and a metallic powder pigment preferably each having a particle diameter of at most 100μm, at a weight ratio of the former to the latter of 1:(0.01-0.6), with the total of them accounting for 3.0-40wt.% of the total composition. It also contains at least a resin (e.g. a styrene-acrylic acid copolymer) and a solvent (e.g. ethylene glycol) as the essential constitutes. Examples of the pearlescent pigment used include a natural or synthetic mica having low refractive index and coated with a metal oxide having high refractive index, fish scale guanine, and basic carbonic salts. Examples of the metallic powder pigment used include aluminum powders, brass powders, bronze powders, copper powders, gold powders and silver powders.
|
