PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent waste of recording paper to the utmost and to provide an output of image data desired by the user. SOLUTION: In the case that a selection result Xi of recording paper for i-th page is the same as a selection result Yn for recording paper for link recording (S37) or in the case that recording paper set to the recorder is in use, whether or not a main scanning length for n-th page differs from a main scanning length for (n+1)th page is discriminated, and when different, image data from the 1st page to the n-th page are linked and the resulting data are outputted on one recording paper sheet (S40, S41). In the case that the main scanning length for the n-th page is the same as the main scanning length for the (n+1)th page and division of image data on the (n+1)th page takes place (S42 to S43), the 1st to n-th pages of the image data are linked and the resulting data are outputted on one recording paper sheet (S41). Even when the page number (n+1) is smaller than a maximum linked page number Nmax, the image data from the 1st to the n-th pages are outputted on one recording paper sheet (S40, S41). |
