PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve both the oxidation resistance and the durability by carrying out an addition reaction of a polysiloxane with an alkenyl group-containing epoxidized novolak resin, adding hexamethylenetetramine to the resultant resin composition, pulverizing the prepared mixture, adding a specific amount of the obtained silicone-modified phenol resin as a binder to a compounding raw material for producing brick, kneading the resultant mixture, forming the kneaded mixture and drying and baking the formed product. SOLUTION: This alumina-carbon-based tuyere brick is obtained by carrying out the addition reaction of SiH groups in an organopolysiloxane with alkenyl groups in an alkenyl group-containing epoxidized novolak resin, adding hexamethylenetetramine thereto, pulverizing the resultant mixture, providing a silicone-modified phenol resin, adding the prepared modified resin as a binder in an amount of 0.5-10wt.% expressed in terms of outer percentage to a compounding raw material for producing the brick, kneading the obtained mixture, forming the kneaded mixture and drying and baking the formed product. The alkenyl group-containing epoxidized novolak resin can be obtained by epoxidizing an alkenyl group-containing phenol resin with epichlorohydrin or partially reacting an epoxy resin with 2-allylphenol, etc. |
