PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable both sawing an installing space and maintaining the target performance of an air conditioner. SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 2 is arranged vertically at an opening 1a at a side surface of a casing 1 and in turn either axial or slant flowing type first fan 3 provided with a fan guide 7 is arranged at an upper surface 1b of the casing 1 under a state in which a blowing-out direction of the first fan is directed upwardly and at the same time an axial or slant flow type second fan 4 provided with a fan guide 8 is arranged at a lower position of the first fan 3 under a state in which its blowing-out direction is directed upwardly. With such an arrangement as above, an air blowing-out operation is carried out at the upper side than the position corresponding to the second fan 4 of the heat exchanger 2 under a suction of the first fan 3 and then air blowing-out operation is carried out under a sucking action of the second fan 4 at a lower side than the location corresponding to the second fan 4, so that even if the heat exchanger 2 is of an elongated one in shape, it is possible to improve a distribution of air speed in the heat exchanger 2. |
