PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide sintered ore for making pig iron without consuming lime by using the powder obtained by pulverizing waste concrete whose aggregate is lime as the binder for manufacturing sintered ore. SOLUTION: Most kinds of concrete waste can be used so long as lime is used as aggregate. However, the amount of Al2 O3 and SiO2 derived from Portlant cement is limited as mentioned below because they can adversely affect the alkalinity of the blast furnace slag if the amount is large. When the amount of SiO2 in the raw material to be fed in the blast furnace is increased, excessive amount of lime must be fed to increase the quantity of CaO, and the fuel cost of the blast furnace is increased. The amount of SiO2 in the waste is, therefore, <=8%. If a large amount of Al2 O3 is present, it can adversely affect the strength at the normal temperature and the disintegration property, after reduced of the sintered are and the viscosity of the blast furnace slag, and the quantity of Al2 O3 in the waste is, therefore, <=4%.
|
