PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymerization catalyst capable of producing a poly (α-olefin) having high stereoregurality and good fluidity. SOLUTION: Thisα-olefin polymerization catalyst comprises (A) a solid component containing Mg, Ti, a halogen and an electron donative compound as the essential components, (B) a trialkyl aluminum compound, (C) an alkyl alkoxysilane compound and (D) an aluminum compound expressed by the formula Rn AlX3-n R is an alkyl group, X is an alkoxy group, amino group or halogen atom, (n) is an optional number in the range of 0<=(n)<3}.
