PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain printing quality even when different kinds of papers are used. SOLUTION: A switch for selecting a kind of a paper to be used in this recorder is provided. The kind of the paper to be used is determined in accordance with the condition of the switch (#101). A diameter of an ink droplet ejected from a nozzle is varied based on the determined result (#102-#104). Since the extent of spreading or sucking of the ink is varied corresponding to the kind of the paper, printed image quality can be made constant by varying the diameter of the ink droplet. |
