PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the image of high definition and satisfactory fidelity with no color moire by generating a luminance signal based in a 1st image pickup signal pickup up in focused state and generating a chrominance signal based on a 2nd image pickup signal picked up in a state focused from the focuses state for a prescribed amount. SOLUTION: In a high-definition photographic mode, a signal processing part 18 generates the luminance signal from the image pickup signal fetched into a memory in the 1st image pickup and stores it in the memory 6 again. Then, a color difference signal is generated by the 2nd image coup, processing for synthesizing that signal with the luminance signal is performed and after this signal is converted to an RGB image signal, it is recorded in a recorder 7 by performing image compression. Further, a position detection/correction part 19 detects the deviation of relative positions between both the images and corrects this deviation when synthesizing the color difference signal provided by the 2nd image pickup with the luminance signal provided by the 1st image pickup and stored in the memory 6 by the processing part 18, and the color image with no color slurring can be generated. |
