X-Y CURSOR MOVING SPEED VARYING MOUSE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and smoothly move a cursor on a display to a position desired by an operator at a proper speed by varying in a real way the moving speed and the movement value of the cursor in response to the degree of pressure of a pressure sensitive element added to a mouse. SOLUTION: A pressure sensitive resistance element 6 of a push button type is built into a mouse, and a control part is prepared in a waveform shaping circuit 4 to vary the resolution in response to the change of resistance of the element 6. Then the movement value of a cursor is controlled on a display based on the resolution that is decided by the movement information on the mouse outputted from the X and Y direction encoders 1 and 2 and the resistance value of the element 6. A push button 3 of the element 6 is attached at a position of the mouse where it's easily pushed by a thumb, and the output of the button 3 is connected to the circuit 4. The circuit 4 compares the input resistance with the set resolution and outputs the input movement value to a personal computer after processing it based on the resolution.
