PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the sense of incongruity which a driver receives by informing him of the change-over of the contents of gear shift step control when the contents of the gear shift step control are changed over in a vehicle controller which is provided with a navigation system device and changes a control pattern of an automatic transmission in accordance with the information on road concerning the surroundings of a current position of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A navigation system device 10 selects a running path to a target position from the information on road which is read out from a data memory part 12 based on an own vehicle position detected by a current position detection part 13 in a navigation processing part 11 when the target position is input from an input part 16 and outputs the path in a display part 17. It guides a driver up to the target position based on the displayed running path and sound from a sound output part 19. In this case, even when gear shift step is selected based on a driving condition by an A/TECU 40 and gear shift mode is changed by a gear shift mode change command signal from the navigation processing part 11, the selection of gear shift step and the change of gear shift mode are displayed in the display part 17. |
