摘要 |
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an optically active quinuclidinol from quinuclidinone with a simple method at a low cost by using an asymmetric reduction reaction with a microbial enzyme. SOLUTION: Quinuclidinone (3-quinuclidinone) is treated with a microorganism or its treated product and the produced optically active quinuclidinol (3- quinuclidinol) is separated form the system. The microorganisms capable of producing (R)-3-quinuclidinol from 3-quinuclidinone are e.g. the microorganisms of the genus Nakazawaea, Candide and Proteus and those capable of producing (S)-3-quinuclidinol from 3-quinuclidinone are e.g. the microorganisms of the genus Arthrobacter, Pseudomonas and Rhodosporidium. |
