The invention concerns an electric steam bath stove comprising one or more elements 1 which consist of heat- storing ceramic material and an electric resistance 2 which is used for heating the ceramic material and has been arranged in the latter upon casting. According to the invention, the element 1 has a frame layer 3 in which the electric resistance has been cast in the form of a bare resistance wire 2, and a surface layer 4 which does not touch the electric resistance. Between the frame layer 3 and the surface layer 4 there is an interface which prevents a crack, which may appear in the surface layer, from continuing into the frame layer 3. <IMAGE>
