The wall panel modules (2) consist of outer plates (4, 5) and an inner core layer (3). The inner core layer is made from a by-product of the flax making industry. The support rail (7) is a wooded plinth. Clipped onto the inner and outer sides of the plinth are flexible plates (8, 9). The lower side of the rail is sealed to the floor by protrusions (10, 17, 18) on the bottom end of the flexible plates. The lower edges of the panel has protruding outer layers (6). The upper ends of the flexible plates also make an interference fit with the inner sides of the panel plates (4, 5) and with the underside (14) of the central block (7) of the rail.
