PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an isolated single cell blue-green alga capable of growing under a specific temperature condition and having an ability to absorb phosphoric acid, and enable the removal of phosphoric acid in inland water and consequently the elimination of the trouble of the generation of water-bloom and the purification of inland water by using the isolated alga. SOLUTION: An isolated single cell blue-green alga [e.g. a single cell blue- green alga, Synechococcus vulcanus Y-34 (FERM P-16071)], which can grow under a temperature condition of 55 deg.C and has ability to absorb phosphoric acid, is obtained. Further, it may be an isolated paraphysis blue-green alga e.g. a paraphysis blue-green alga, Fischerella letestui Fremy H-2 (FERM P-16069) or a paraphysis blue-green alga, Fischerella muscicola Gomont G-4 (FERM P-16070)}, which can grow under a temperature condition of 40 deg.C and has ability to absorb phosphoric acid. |
