PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain blur occurring in the middle of zooming even though power consumption is restrained by a simple constitution and simple processing. SOLUTION: When the image of an object is picked up by using a variable power lens 102 and a focusing lens 104, the lenses 102 and 104 are respectively independently controlled to be moved in an optical axis direction by a zooming/ focusing controller 111, focusing position information expressing the focusing position of the lens 104 with respect to the position of the lens 102 is stored in the controller 111 each object; and the lenses 102 and 104 are series-driven by each one perpendicular synchronizing period by means of the controller 111 in the case of variable power operation, so that the lens 104 is controlled to be moved to a specified focusing position. |
