PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the wear of a slider, in a method wherein the detection quantity of the acceleration signal and the displacement signal of a drive mechanism is inputted, and the control signal to be outputted from a controller obtaining the estimated contact force to be applied between the wiring and the slider by the H∞control system is transmitted to the drive mechanism to reduce the contact force between the slider and the wiring. SOLUTION: A power collecting device of a high-speed rolling stock is provided with a slider 2 which is necessary to collect the large current from the wiring 1 in a slidable contact manner, a cylinder type drive mechanisms 6, a positional cylinder type drive mechanism to provide the stroke to meet the change in the wiring height, and a high voltage cable to transmit the large current from a conductive cable head. A controller 30 comprises an A/D converter 32, a CPU 31, and a D/A converter 33 to change the digital signal into the analog signal and output it. A switching device switches the feedback characteristic value to the differential pressure by a speed detector in an H∞controller 33. The control signal to be obtained by the H∞control system and outputted from the controller 33 is transmitted to the drive mechanism.
