An expansion joint cover assembly comprises an elongated cover member 22 having on one surface, between the edges 23, 24 a longitudinal rib 28 with a hooked portion 29, the hooked portion being in engagement with one of several serrations 21 on a resilient arm 20 which forms part of a mounting member 13 secured to one of the building elements 11 bounding the expansion gap. A plurality of such mounting members are secured along the gap. The cover member may carry resilient sealing strips 27 along one or both edges. The cover member 22 may be of right angular formation to cover an expansion gap between building elements at right angles to each other, the mounting member then also being of a suitably modified form, Fig. 2 (not shown). |
