PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a photoreceptor, for example, sticking of residual toner and foreign matter, chemical changes caused by them in image formation in a cleaningless system. SOLUTION: In the image formation in the cleaningless system using an electrophotographic process, the surface of a photoreceptor 6 is ground at a necessary degree for foreign-matter removal. Thus, the foreign mater such as residual toner is removed from the surface of the photoreceptor 6, and image quality deterioration is prevented. In the case, because the surface of the photoreceptor 6 is not ground more than necessary for the foreign-matter removal, remarkable scrape of the film of a photoreceptive layer, which occurs as in the case of cleaning in a blade cleaning system, is prevented. Therefore, the life of the photoreceptor 6 becomes long compared to that of the image forming device of the blade cleaning system. |
