PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the height of a spacer layer high so as to improve the display quality, by forming a plurality of board protruding parts at parts where black matrix layers are to be arranged, forming a laminated part from a light shielding part and coloring material of a plurality of colors on each board protruding part, and providing a spacer layer formed of the board protruding part and the laminated part. SOLUTION: The color filter 1 for liquid crystal display device is provided with black matrix layers formed on a transparent board 10 so as to form light shielding parts, and color filter layers 20 formed on the transparent board 10 so as to constitute picture elements. A plurality of board protruding parts 31 are provided at parts where the black matrix layers are arranged. A laminated part 32 with a light shielding part and coloring material of three colors laminated are provided on the board protruding part 31, and the board protruding part 31 and the laminated layer 32 constitute a spacer layer 30. The laminated layer 32 consists of a black protruding part BK' formed on the board protruding part 31, a red protruding part R' formed thereon, a green protruding part G' formed thereon, and a blue protruding part B' formed further thereon. |
