摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control and optional phase and an infinite variable amplitude range for all output terminals and to form a flexible beam by using an orthogonal vector synthesizer to construct an amplitude phase control means in regard to a beam forming circuit that has a distributor which feeds a phased array antenna and the amplitude phase control means. SOLUTION: A beam forming circuit comprises a distributor 4D and the orthogonal vector synthesizers 4c-1 to 4c-n (n: number of radiation elements). In such a constitution, the signals inputted to an input terminal 4a are distributed to the radiation elements by the beam forming circuit. The distributed signal 4b-1 to 4b-n are inputted to the synthesizers 4c-1 to 4c-n independently of each other. The signal 4b-n inputted to the synthesizer 4c-n undergoes the amplitude control corresponding to components rcosθand rsinθof an orthogonal coordinate system and then undergoes the vector synthesizing. Then the signal 4b-n is outputted to the output terminals 1 to (n) respectively in the desired amplitude phase.
