The bottle-carrier has an open collar (1), in the shape of a segment of a ring (3), which is made in elastic material. At each end there is a part (5) with a hole (8) through a cord is threaded. The collar and the cord are put round the neck of a bottle and locked in position by pulling on the cord. The end parts each have a pivoting lever (6) with a tooth (13) on top that locks the cord in position automatically. The lower part of the lever (10) is pressed to make it pivot and release the cord.
