PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective cooling and to save space by providing heat exhaust paths formed so as to pass through the centers of the rotary shafts of a developer stirring/carrying means, therein and make the openings on one side of the heat exhaust paths communicative with the outside of a device main body. SOLUTION: The heat exhaust paths Q consist of the hollow parts of the centers of the rotary shafts of respective shaft parts 17a and 18a. When the door 2a of main body 2 is closed, opening parts 2b are placed in positions corresponding to the openings Q1 on one side of the heat exhaust paths Q, the heat exhaust paths Q are communicated with the outside of the main body 2 with fins 2c and in this state, an image forming operation is executed. Then, respective fans are actuated at the time of starting the rotations of the respective stirring screws 17 and 18, so that outdoor air is guided to the heat exhaust paths Q from the openings Q1 on one side through the opening parts 2b and a developing device 3 can be cooled from the shaft centers of the respective stirring screw 17 and 18 with the outdoor air. Thus, the rising of the temp. of the whole of the developing device 3 is prevented without impeding the saving of the space of the developing device 3, to prevent the occurrence of a defect in image quality as well. |
