PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel electrode of a solid electrolyte type electrochemical cell which can enhance electrode reaction property and suppress shrinking property, while maintaining matching property of thermal expansion with solid electrolyte and high conductivity. SOLUTION: By a constitution, wherein a fuel cell 2 is composed of a metal parts 2a comprising Ni, Co, or its alloy, a stabilized zirconia part 2d such as YSN (stabilized zirconia with Y2 , O3 dissovled), an oxidized compound part 2b with a smaller coefficient of thermal expansion than that of solid electrolyte 3, comprising a stabilized zirconia such as YSZ, and a cement with a hole 2c, the fuel cell is made so that shrinkage when deoxidizing is suppressed by the firmly stabilized zirconia part 2d, while a surface area of a three-phase boundary surface S3 to produce an electrochemical reaction is substantially increased. |
