PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve control characteristic by linearizing the relationship between torque and current of a salient-pole type permanent magnet synchronous motor and also reduce capacity of power converter by controlling a terminal voltage. SOLUTION: A control apparatus for controlling torque or velocity of a synchronous motor utilizing a reluctance torque comprises a magnetizing current command calculator 203 for calculating, by the converging calculation, a command value of magnetization current which is an element parallel to the interlinkage magnetic flux axis and a coordinate converter 204 for calculating a vertical axis current command value and a horizontal axis current command value from a torque current command value, magnetization current command value and interlinkage magnetic flux command value. |
