摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high picture quality and to reduce an increase in material cost and complication of process by forming switching elements on 1st and 2nd substrates and providing 3rd substrate with a reflecting electrode on a side of an observation surface. SOLUTION: A plurality of substrates 101a-101c have liquid crystal layers 110 held between these plural substrates 101a-101c. The plural substrates 101a-101c are provided with plural switching elements 102 and matrix wiring to be connected with the switching elements 102 formed on the non-observation surface sides and are also comprises of plural 1st substrates 101a with counter electrodes 105 formed on the observation surface sides, a 2nd substrate 101b with the plural switching elements 102 and matrix wiring for connecting them 102 formed on the non-observation surface sides, and the 3rd substrate 101c with the reflecting electrodes 108 formed on the observation surface sides. Thus, it is possible to reduce double images on the reflecting electrode 108 and form the switching elements and matrix wiring in a same pattern, and as a result, it is further possible to reduce an increase in material cost and complication of manufacturing process.
