A portable dual-mode mobile telephone terminal by means of which satellite communication through a communications satellite is performed under thecontrol of a satellite radio control unit (2) and cellular communication through a ground station is performed under the control of a cellular radio control unit (8). Between the satellite radio control unit (2) and the LCD/KEYPAD connection part (14) of the cellular radio control unit (8), an interface converting means (21) which converts the interface between them is provided. The interface converting means (21) performs the software interface conversion such as the conversion of data type and, a further, performs the electrical interface conversion by an address decoder, and I/O port, etc.
