PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure of a manufactured coil by detecting whether a wire material is locked to a locking part or not with a simple constitution in a winding machine for winding the material on a coil bobbin having the part for preventing winding disorder of the material. SOLUTION: A wire material length L1 of the material moved from a measurement starting position P1 of a nozzle for feeding a wire material W to a measurement ending position P2 is detected by a rotary encoder rotating in contact with the material W. When the detected length L1 is smaller than a threshold value Th1, the material W is decided not to be locked to a locking part 60A, an alarm is generated, the nozzle is returned to the position P1, and the material W is again wound on a coil bobbin 7 so as to lock the material W to the part 60A. |
