PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to achieve excellent water-proofing capability with a simple operation and less man-hours, by forming a resin layer in a cap in order to fill the gap between a spliced electric wire and the cap and secure the spiced electric wire and the cap to each other, and to fill the gap between coated electric wires and secure the coated electric wires to one another. SOLUTION: The water-proofing structure A comprises a spliced electric wire 1 formed by joining the strips of a plurality of coated electric wires 1a; the joint section 1b; a cap 2 placed in proximity to the joint section 1b; and a resin layer 6 which fills the gaps between the spliced electric wire 1 and the cap 2 and between the coated electric wires 1a and secures the spliced electric wire 1 and the cap 2 to each other and the coated electric wires to one another. Uncured resin is injected until the uncured resin extends to the middle point in the cap 2, and the joint section 1b and nearby section of the spliced electric wire 1 are inserted into the uncured resin. The resin is cured under specified conditions. Thereby the operation is extremely simplified, and the resin is prevented from overflowing the cap by adjusting the quantity of the uncured resin injected; therefore, the operation can be performed well. In addition, since the electric wires and cores are coated and secured with the resin one by one, excellent waterproofing capability is obtained. |
