PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To permit a user to join in the conference among plural computer terminals by using a telephone terminal by providing the signal conversion means of the telephone terminals and a conference server. SOLUTION: A unfired exchange 11 receives an originating signal from the telephone terminal 17a connected to a public network 16, inquires of the conference server 20 connected to LAN 18 whether the conference is held at present or not. When the conference is held and the joining of it from outside is permitted, the television conference server 20 transmits the signal of permission to the central control part of the unfired exchange 11. The central control part transmits effect that the telephone terminal 17a can join the conference to it, outputs a command for converting a sound signal from the telephone terminal 17a into a sound packet to a packet conversion part and transmits it to the television conference server 20. The command is emitted to the placket conversion part so that sound data from the television conference server 20 is converted into PCM data and PCM data is transmitted to the telephone terminal 17a. |
