PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable positioning of an image leading end and a recording medium in a simple constitution at a low cost by providing plural number of markers on an intermediate transfer material, and respectively adopting the same as the image forming start reference and the recording medium transporting start reference. SOLUTION: This image forming device, on setting in the marker detecting operation permit state, starts the marker on the intermediate transfer medium detecting operation. On detecting the intermediate transfer material position detecting marker 16A, the image forming operation for the first page is started, and simultaneously the operation of transporting counter is started. Then, it is kept standby until the transporting counter reaches the prescribed number. When the transporting counter reaches the prescribed number, the transportation of the first page is started, and reset of the transporting counter is performed. Then, at the time point of completing the image formation and the paper sheet transporting operation for the first page, the image forming mode is decided. Thus, by issuing the reference signal plural times within one round of the intermediate transferring material 1, and producing several transporting start reference corresponding to the respective reference signal, the counting operation can be shortened and an influence of a timer error can be reduced. |
