<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to increase the number of liquid crystal display devices simultaneously obtainable from a sheet of mother glass, to improve production ability (the number of production of liquid crystal display devices per a unit time), and also to improve the nondefective rate of the liquid crystal display device, by making it possible to reduce the area of the liquid crystal display device. SOLUTION: When a defect occurs in the drive circuit of the liquid crystal display device having built-in peripheral drive circuit, a defective output line among the output lines of an incorporated X driver 1 is cut off on a position of a dotted line b by using e.g. a laser technique, and a defective place is isolated electrically from the circuit. Then, a TAB loading an integrated circuit chip having a characteristic equal to the defective output line is connected electrically to conductive lines 100 or terminal parts 101 by a TAB mounting technique. In such a manner, by changing the defective place with the integrated circuit chip, the drive circuit is corrected, and the liquid crystal display device is made to be nondefective.</p> |
