PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the wearing of a developing roller, while attaining sharp development by specifying the degree of deformation in a radial direction in a supplying roller and a value obtained in such a manner that the absolute value of the linear velocity of the outermost periphery of the supplying roller is divided by the absolute value of the linear velocity of the outermost periphery of a developing roller. SOLUTION: In the actual supply of toner, the toner supplying roller 31 is pressed on the developing roller 27, to deform the contact part of the rollers 31 and 27 and both of them are rotated in the same direction, to supply the toner. The crushing degree of the surface of the toner supplying roller 31 at this time is set >=0.5mm. Further, as the ratio of the linear velocities in the rotations of the developing roller 27 and the toner supplying roller 31 rotated while coming into contact with each other, when a high-speed rotation at >=70 mm/sec linear velocity in the outermost periphery of the roller 27 is attained, the value (speed ratio) obtained by dividing the absolute value of the linear velocity of the outermost periphery of the roller 31 by the absolute value of the linear velocity of the roller 27 is set <0.7. |
