The bogie (2) has two pairs of wheels (4) mounted in a chassis (3) using springs (7) extending between the underside of the chassis and each wheel in order to provide a sprung suspension. A fitting couples together the height direction movement of the springs associated with each wheel pair. The fitting contains a device which transfers length direction movement from one spring, of a wheel pair, with a lower potential energy to the other spring in order to move it relative to the chassis into a position where both wheels will be the same distance from the chassis.
